Rev. Jeffrey VanOsdol Jeffrey VanOsdol is originally from Bloomington, Indiana and was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, Indiana in 1964. He holds degrees from Indiana University and Concordia Theological Seminary (Ft. Wayne, Indiana). He has served congregations in Akron, Ohio and Cupertino, California. From 1998 to 2008, he was the Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Pastor VanOsdol and his wife, Jennifer, will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in December. They have one son, Philip, who is a Sophomore at Brashier Middle College in Simpsonville. Pastor VanOsdol has accepted a limited tenure call to serve as Associate Pastor of Good Shepherd for the duration of Pastor Sandeno's active-duty in the Navy. Rev. Timothy E. Sandeno
Timothy E. Sandeno is originally from southeastern Minnesota and baptized in a small country parish of Norwegian Lutherans where his great-grandfather was once the pastor. Pastor Sandeno completed grade school and high school in California. He has degrees from Heald College, the United States Naval Academy, and Concordia Theological Seminary. During the past 26 years of Naval service, he has deployed throughout the world and lived in several states along the eastern seaboard. He continues to serve as a Naval Reservist at a post in the Pentagon. Pastor Sandeno completed his theological preparation serving as vicar at Grace Lutheran Church in Summerville, South Carolina from 2004 to 2005. There he led the Islands Lutheran Mission in planting Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Charleston, where the weekly public preaching of God’s Word began February 27, 2005. In April 2005, Grace Lutheran Church called Pastor Sandeno to be mission Pastor to the newly forming Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where he has been serving since his ordination and installation on July 30, 2005. Pastor Sandeno resides in West Ashley with his wife Lisa and their
children Victoria, Gunder, and Gabrielle. As of October 2011, Pastor Sandeno, a commander in the Navy Reserve, has begun a period of active-duty deployment. |
